The car is a delight to drive and has full Australian compliance. There is also a brand-new AC compressor, receiver/dryer and TX expansion valve in unopen boxes to go with the car. The sound system has been upgraded and is a big improvement on the original. The trunk has also been recently recarpeted and the engine bay is very neat with the new engine (see photos). Also, new rubber weather stripping has been fitted to the doors. The front and rear seats have been recently re-upholstered and has new hood lining. Most of the interior is original and very clean. It is a Ford USA colour and I have the paint code and some touch up if needed. It looks black in the shade or poor light but the actual colour is dark cranberry metallic. The professional repainted exterior is in very good to excellent condition.

The chrome, grille, and exterior trim and mouldings are original and in very good condition. I also have the original factory 12 slot rims if you prefer and they go with the car. The American racing wheels are in excellent condition with good tyres. Finished off with the dual exhaust system and Flowmasters the car runs and sounds sweet.

I have rebuild paperwork and specs of the new long motor. It is fitted with a brand new 351 ci Windsor engine recently rebuilt by the previous owner in America. The vehicle is the ultimate "Summer Days" convertible or "Summer Nights" moon roof cruiser. The tempered glass roof panels remove easily and are stored in their own special padded pouches in the trunk (see photos).

These T/Top's also known as T/Roof Convertibles are getting very hard to find in America, especially in this condition. The first factory T/Roof convertible Thunderbirds rolled off the Chicago assembly line on Wednesday, March 1st 1978 and the Los Angeles plant followed with it's first on Monday March 27th 1978. They were limited in production and modified by a company called "Cars and Concepts Skylight" which had it's own international dealer network. The T/Top option was only offered by Ford on the Thunderbird in 1978/79. This beautiful T/Top T/Bird was purchased last year from the Vice President of the Vintage Thunderbird Club of North America.
